Provost's Author Support Fund

	Purpose   To facilitate and further the publication of outstanding scholarly book-length manuscripts or other creative work by helping the author to defray the cost of items such as subvention required by the publisher, or special production charges associated with permissions, figures and photographs, indexing, etc. Manuscripts or other creative works accepted for publication and accompanied by formal reviews (initiated and implemented by the publisher) will be considered.
	Support   Awarded on a competitive basis, generally does not exceed $1500 and is more likely to be in the $500-$1,000 range. See guidelines for awards
	Eligibility   Faculty or academic professionals whose position responsibilities include the expectation of research and publication, and who hold appointments in units reporting directly or indirectly to the Provost.
	Application Authors who wish to apply for funding should submit a formal request to the Office of the Provost using the suggested format.
	Deadline   November 16, 2007, for receipt of applications for academic year 2007-08. An announcement (by 3D memo) of the availability of this award is usually made in early September.
