CPT Daniel Caffarel

Military Police

793D MP Battalion
1LT Caffarel enlisted in the Arizona Army National Guard in Dec of 1998, as a Field Artillery Fire Direction Control Specialist, and attended Basic Combat Training at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO in May 1999. While attending the University of Arizona, from 2000 until 2004, he contracted with the Army ROTC program in the summer of 2002. He continued with the National Guard until commissioning into active duty Military Police in May 2004, with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology.

Duty Positions: 1LT Caffarel has been in Germany since NOV 2004. He started out with the 92D MP Company in Baumholder, GE as a Platoon leader. He deployed his platoon to Afghanistan in MAR 2005 to conduct PTTs until redeployment in APR 2006. Upon return and reintegration he was moved to Bamberg, GE to serve as the BN Assistant S-3 in Operations, where he is currently. 1LT Caffarel was also recently selected for promotion to CPT, which he expects to occur late this summer.

Military Schools: BCT (1999), 13E AIT (2000), Airborne School (2002), Military Police Officer’s Basic Course (2004), SOC 40 (2007) and Anti-terrorism Level II (2007)

Military Awards and Decorations: Bronze Star Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Award, Arizona Service Award, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Army Service Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Award. 1LT Caffarel is authorized to wear the Parachutist Badge and German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge in Silver.
