International Amarna Research Conference
(2004)
The University of Arizona Egyptian Expedition hosted an international conference on the Amarna Period of Ancient Egyptian History in Tucson on April 15, 2004. This conference aimed to advance understanding of the Amarna Era through the presentation of new material, ideas and approaches and was international in scope - including invited speakers from five countries:

55th Annual Meeting
(2004)
The University of Arizona Egyptian Expedition also hosted the 55th annual meetings of The American Research Center in Egypt, April 16-18, 2004. This national Egyptological conference featured over 125 speakers from a total of twelve countries and occured in conjunction with the Amarna Research Conference described above.

International Conference on the Valley of the Kings
(1994)
The University of Arizona Egyptian Expedition hosted an important
International Conference on the Valley of the Kings which
was held in Tucson in October, 1994. The participants
included most of the scholars currently active in Valley
of the Kings research and in addition to discussion
panels on excavation, analysis of art and artifacts, and
