The Arizona Board of Regents passed the proposed revisions to the Student Code of Conduct and Student Disciplinary procedures at the August 2008 meeting. These revisions became effective September 1, 2008.
The Dean of Students Office thanks the community for sharing comments and suggestions submitted through the revision process.
Revision Highlights:
- Students admitted, registered, and enrolled at the University of Arizona are expected to abide by the Student Code of Conduct
The University of Arizona has the ability to initiate an investigation based on credible information
- The definition of "weapon" has been expanded and clearly defined
A violation has been added regarding surreptitious videotaping, filming, photographing, or digitally recording in an area where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy
- The University of Arizona reserves the right to revoke an awarded degree if future information is provided regarding academic dishonesty or other reasons
- Definitions of gambling and hazing reflect current Arizona law
