Accused Person's Rights

You have the right:

  • - To be treated with respect

  • - To receive written notification of the charges filed against you

  • - To have the disciplinary process explained to you

  • - To discuss the incident with a conduct officer

  • - To have the opportunity to review information in your disciplinary file

  • - To not answer any questions

  • - To present witnesses of fact

  • - To submit supporting documentation

  • - To bring an advisor to the meeting

  • - To be informed in writing of the outcome of the disciplinary investigation

  • - To appeal the decision to a hearing board if suspended or expelled

You are responsible for:

  • - Attending any meeting on time
  • - Presenting information to the conduct officer
  • - Asking questions to seek clarification
  • - Asking for assistance when you need it
  • - Completing all sanctions within the imposed deadline
