Description: The creation of the GIDP in statistics, with an accompanying graduate program, will elevate UA's standing as a research university. It will serve as UA's center for high-level statistical consulting and provide high level statistical consulting with other units, training in statistical methods, and facilitate the launching of new research ventures in areas such as biotechnology.
