DEADLINES FOR COURSE ADDITIONS,
DELETIONS, AND MODIFICATION
Modified May 26, 2003
Course
material may be submitted at any time for any future term in advance of
these dates. These dates
represent the final date for receipt of course material by the Office of
Curriculum and Registration for particular effective terms. Receipt of
course material is defined as:
- Course must have completed the appropriate electronic approval route
- And be resident in the "Form-Link In-Box" of the Office
of Curriculum and Registration Representative by 5:00 pm on the
appropriate date. Should the deadline date fall on a weekend, course
material will be due by 5:00 p.m. on the next regular business day.
Fall Semester
ADDITIONS:
(Includes
addition of new courses, subtitles, secondary courses (crosslists),
co-convene courses)
- Must be in Patti King’s Form Link Inbox no later than July 15.
DELETIONS:
(Includes
exclusive (not crosslisted), master and secondary (crosslisted),
secondary, but not master course)

Before Schedule of Classes is published:

After Schedule of Classes is published (i.e., early March):
- If
no sections are published to be offered for any future semester,
course may end effective with the current semester.
- If
course is offered/published for a future semester, course will end
effective with the last term published .
CHANGES:

- Add
Pass/Fail option (NOT Pass/Fail only grade type)
- Change
term offered
- Correct
typographical errors
- March 1 Deadline:
- Add/delete
prerequisites, corequisites, other dependencies
- Delete crosslisted department
- Delete Pass/Fail option
- Change repeatability
- Change to Special Grade
- Decrease variable units
- Delete Tier Two status
- Delete GRCE/NW status
- Add special fee
- ES/ED
(designations for engineering units)
- Title, subtitle and course description
(Cosmetic changes, updating language, but not changing
meaning/content)
- July 15 Deadline:
- Change activity type
- Increase variable units
- Delete special fee
- Add Tier Two status
- Add GRCE/NW status
- Add
secondary (crosslist) course(s) to existing master course

Two weeks prior to end of semester:
- Title, subtitle and course
description - Correct typographical errors
Spring Semester
