Tomographic reconstruction of a slice out of a volume of a
chemically excitable medium. Top panel colors boundaries of the
slice in proportion to ferroin concentration. Middle colors an
iso-concentration surface bounding the excited zone (a propagating
wavefront). Bottom isolates (by its concentration and zero rate of
change) the vortex line around which this activation propagates in
