Description: Arizona Assurance is a new financial aid program at The University of Arizona that provides eligible incoming freshmen with individually tailored packages of financial resources and strategies that put graduating debt free within reach. The Arizona Assurance package of aid and Federal Work-Study, combined with the amount that the government determines each student's family should pay, covers tuition, books and housing so that a student loan is not necessary to afford those expenses.

Funding source: School of American Research Indian Arts Research Center Indian Arts Fellowships
Description: Four fellowships are offered yearly for Native American scholars and artists by the Indian Arts Research Center. (Other fellowships are offered through the School of American Research Resident Scholar program.) The fellowships provide opportunities for exploration of new ideas in art and contemporary issues. These ideas feed into ongoing discussions at IARC. Fellows spend several months living, studying, and working on campus, with full access to the Collection. Housing is provided, as well as a stipend. Fellows pursue their own projects but interact extensively with the staff. See website for specifics on each fellowship.
