Richard W. Stoffle is a Full Research Anthropologist
with the Bureau of Applied Research in Anthropology with the AIS interdisciplinary
faculty. Professor Stoffle is a graduate of the University of Colorado,
and earned his MA and PhD degrees at the University of Kentucky, and
taught at Arizona's Prescott College, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside,
and the University of Michigan before joining the faculty here at the
U of A. Professor Stoffle has worked extensively with American Indians
since 1972, particularly with the Kaibab Paiute of northern Arizona
and southern Utah. He has written extensively on issues such as NAGPRA
(the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act), resource
management, cultural resource management, disease and demography, and
other topics of interest in American Indian Studies.
