Joe Hiller (Lakota) is the Assistant Dean for American Indian Programs, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS), Associate Director of the Arizona Agricultural Experiment Station, Assistant Director of Arizona Cooperative Extension. He is the former Chair of the Watershed Management and Ecohydrology Program (2004-2007) in the CALS School of Natural Resources.

Dr. Hiller provides leadership for CALS programs, projects, and activities dealing with Arizona's Indian tribes, nations, communities and tribal colleges including Cooperative Extension, academic programs, and research efforts.  He administers the budgeted research programs in CALS and in the principal investigator for the Federally Recognized Tribal Extension Program (FRTEP).   http://www.indiancountryextension.org/state.php?=1

Dr. Hiller holds the rank of professor and extension specialist in watershed management.  His academic expertise includes agriculture and natural resources issues, particularly in Indian Country, tribal colleges, watershed management, water policy, rangeland ecology, Cooperative Extension programs and operations; international program.  He advises graduate students in several disciplines, including Natural Resources, American Indian Studies, Arid Lands Resource Sciences and Geography.
