AIS People Academic Courses Apply Forms Students Organizations News Robert HersheyRobert Alan Hershey (JD, 1972, University of Arizona), an attorney who specializes in indigenous human rights, holds an Adjunct Professor of Law position with a joint appointment in AIS. He is also Director of the Tribal Law Clinic. Professor Hershey's most recent scholarly work focuses on economic development in Indian country, the mechanics of criminal law in tribal courts and intellectual property rights. His current writing focuses on Imagery and American Indian Policy and the promotion of intercultural relations with tribes in Arizona. He has taken a leadership role in AIS for developing the graduate student required internship program. Professor Hershey chairs that committee and has been active in all other AIS service roles. His extensive seminars and consultant roles with Indian tribes and communities have provided professional relationships resulting in placements for both law and AIS students in the Tribal Law Clinic.
