First Annual AIS Holiday Bake Off |
Ballots have been counted and the official Bake Off supervisor, Jay Stauss.
The first annual AIS Bake Off took place at this year's Holiday Potluck. Two renown Iron Chefs faced off in two fiercely competitive and tremendously challenging categories: cookies and apple pie. |
|
| Tsianina Lomawaima and Amy Fatzinger, both renown for their baking skills, took up the challenge. Attendees at the potluck did the judging. Amy won the cookie challenge by default when Tsianina's entry was mistakenly eaten by another family member. She thankfully decided to bring a turkey in place of the cookies. Amy's Double-Dark Chocolate Chipotle cookies were declared delicious and the winner. |
|
The pies were judged in 5 categories
and the winner in each was:
Appearance -
Tsianina Lomawaima's Double Crust Apple Pie
Crust -

Filling -
Amy Fatzinger's Caramel Apple Cream Pie
Taste -

And the Overall Winner -

|
The Bake Off Supervisor would like to thank all judges for their participation
and willingness to save room for pie.
Thanks to both contestants, we look forward to a new challenge soon in the coming year. |
|
For those of you who missed the potluck, stay tuned for our Spring picnic! |
