MISSION

To serve as a professional academic writing resource for a diverse student population including undergraduates, graduates, high school students and teachers and faculty and staff at the University;
To provide an opportunity for historically underrepresented students to gain confidence and to meet their intellectual potential by improving their writing skills and critical thinking strategies;
To aid these students to successfully complete composition, writing, and writing-related courses at the University of Arizona;
To retain and graduate underrepresented students from the University of Arizona;
To collaborate with high schools in recruiting and training high school students and teachers in writing;
To encourage underrepresented/first generation students to enter, excel in, and complete graduate academic programs;
To assist the academic community at large by providing a series of Weekly Writing Workshops;
To serve any student who desires individual professional assistance as long as space allows and he/she has been referred by a professor.
To assist in the recruitment, retention, and graduation of a diverse student body.
