Title |
Arqueología de México Norte /Archaeology of Northern Mexico Home |
| |
Description |
“Archaeology of Northern Mexico” includes photos of artifacts collected at Galeana and Paquime, contributed papers and posters, a “Field Guide of the Ceramics of the Casas Grandes Region,” annotated references on prehistoric ceramics, and an excellent bibliography of sources on the archaeology of Northern Mexico. The site is hosted by scholars at the University of New Mexico and is currently welcoming additional contributions. The site title would suggest bilingual Spanish-English pages, but currently most pages are available in English only with Spanish versions available for selected pages. This site is an excellent introductory resource for those interested in the archaeology of Northern Mexico as well as a resource for those interested in sharing their own work. This site also provides instructions for joining paquime-L, a list-serve “devoted to discussions of the archaeology of Chihuahua and Sonora.” |

Prehistoric Ceramics from Northwestern Chihuahua: Annotations of Selected Works (1828 to 1958) |
| |
Description |
This annotated bibliography was prepared by Gordon F.M. Rakita of the University of New Mexico. The bibliography is meant to be a "guide and reference manual" rather than a comprehensive listing, as it contains "only those references that made explicit and meaningful mention of Chihuahuan ceramics". It can be downloaded as a Microsoft Word file. |
