Spring 2008 AAFSAA Grants Competitions Announcement

Amount: Up to $500

Application Deadline: Noon on February 18, 2008

Eligibility: Individual members of the UA community (students, faculty, staff) or UA programs and departments. Student programs must be recognized by the Associated Students of the University of Arizona (ASUA) or provide an FRS account number for payment. Priority will be given to students.

Funding Categories:
Academic or cultural activities and creative projects
Travel to meetings or special events

Application packets (original plus two copies):
Cover letter, including contact information
Written proposal - maximum three double-spaced pages - including objective, importance of the endeavor, relevance to AAFSAA's mission, specific plan/activities for implementation, time frame, detailed budget, and benefit to the applicant and the UA
Copy of transcript (applicable to students only)
Letter of recommendation/endorsement
Selection Criteria:
Importance of proposed endeavor
Relevance of proposed endeavor to the mission of AAFSAA and the UA
Clarity/professionalism of proposal
Academic performance (for students only)

Post-award Requirements:
The funded project will be completed within 1 year after notification of award.
A brief summary of the project and final report (one to two pages) will be submitted to AAFSAA within 30 days of completion of the project.
